The recent refurbishment of Zen Fitness and Leisure Club at the Athlone Springs Hotel has resulted in a popularity surge and with a current membership of 1,200, the exercise and relaxation facility continues to grow in strength and reputation.
The team at Zen Fitness and Leisure Club are at the core of its success, their friendly demeanour and extensive knowledge ensuring all members feel welcome, comfortable and reach the best of their abilities.
The recent Zen Leisure Open Day on Sunday, October 9, showcased the dedication of the team, led by manager Brian Chalmers, to making fitness and health accessible to the local community. On the day, members of the local community and surrounding areas joined the Zen team to learn about the facilities, the training available, discuss fitness goals and how the team can help them achieve their personal goals.
The hotel’s Head Chef, Martin Duffy, prepared homemade protein balls, smoothies and fruit platters, allowing potential and existing members a taste of the healthy options available to them in the hotel.
“We recognise that beginning your fitness journey can be a daunting experience which was the main reason behind the open day, to alleviate the stress of joining a new gym and beginning the path to health. We enjoyed meeting and discussing fitness plans with all those interested on the day.
“Our Zen Fitness and Leisure Club includes a fully-equipped modern gym and a 20 metre indoor swimming pool with a spacious jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. We run fitness classes, swim classes and mother and baby courses every week. Brian and his team of personal trainers at Zen Leisure are always on hand to put a fitness programme together for you, our memberships starting from €150 for three months. To begin your fitness journey with us, contact our dedicated Zen Leisure Team on 090 644 5850,” Ms Lauren Byrne, Sales and Marketing Executive, Athlone Springs Hotel, stated.
