The Southern Gaels Under 11 team proudly claimed the Frank Young Cup in an exciting and highly skilful contest with neighbours Fr Daltons from Ballymore.
The lead changed several times throughout this quality hurling game as both sides had periods of domination. Played in Pairc Chiarain Athlone last wee, there was a sizeable crowd of parents and supporters in attendance to encourage the young players.
Following the match Emily Young presented the cup to Senan Kelly Southern Gaels captain. Thanks to all who arranged the contest and provided refreshments after the game.
