Coral Leisure Ballinasloe and Coral Leisure, Ireland’s leading Leisure Management company, recently hosted brand ambassador, Irish Olympic swimmer, Darragh Greene, as he guided over 40 members of the local swimming club through a coaching session.
Coral Leisure supported Darragh on his journey to the Olympics in 2021 as part of Team Ireland.
Having started his swimming career training in his local Coral Leisure pool, Darragh embodies all of the brand values associated with Coral Leisure.
On his recent visit to Coral Leisure Ballinasloe, Darragh hosted a breast stroke masterclass and with many of the swimmers heading into national competition in the weeks ahead, they are sure to have benefited from Darragh’s expert coaching.
Every child in the pool, aged from 8-18 years, was afforded the opportunity to measure their talents against an Olympic swimmer and Irish national record holder in a series of relay races which were the cause of great excitement amongst those in attendance.
After the pool session Darragh gave a fascinating presentation and Q&A session about his journey to Tokyo and how he made his dream become a reality.
The day finished with Darragh posing for pictures and signing autographs for all the children, all of whom were delighted to have met and swam with one of their heroes.
The hope of Coral Leisure is that someday one of those participating children will become an Irish Olympic swimmer, and who knows, even a medal holder!
