Meet & Greet Programme

Athlone Golf Club is reactivating the ‘Meet & Greet Programme’ which was successfully hosted a number of years ago. The programme basically ensures that each golf society which plays in Athlone Golf Club will be met on arrival by a dedicated gent or lady member of the programme. Each ‘Meet & Greet’ member will ensure that the society organiser will have an adequate supply of score cards, knowledge of the location of the first tee and any local rules pertaining to that day’s golf. Hopefully, this will ensure that each golf outing will have an enjoyable day’s golfing experience. If you would like to be involved in this programme, please add your name to the volunteer sheets on the notice board outside the golf ghop and in the ladies locker room. This ‘Meet & Greet’ programme is absolutely essential at the present moment to ensure that there is a club presence when societies arrive. A club can only be as successful as its members are proactive.

Golf Club Classic

The club’s annual fundraising golf classic which is a major initiative takes place on Friday and Saturday, September 2 and 3, with all members are asked to support it. The Classic is also open to visitors. Team entry is €120 per team of four and booking can be made by ringing 0906492073.
