Athlone Athletics Club members performed admirably on the camber as the ever popular Kilbeggan 10 mile road race returned on Sunday morning.
Amid warm temperatures a core selection of club members graced the undulating South Westmeath roads on a testing route which started and culminated at the Kilbeggan GAA grounds.
With a convivial atmosphere present on a summer’s morning, the return of road racing for the local running community is a major boost as Dublin City marathon training preparations continue for many, the October 30 date a prominent feature in the calendar for numerous Athlone Athletics Club members.
