August Craft Month Event

· Threading the Táin will take place at The Hill of Uisneach on Sunday, August 21, with free admission to all participants.

Join Artist Claire Delabre, who coordinated the creation of the Westmeath panel for an illustrated discussion on how the piece was made and the story it illustrates.

‘Threading the Táin’ is a five piece stitch tapestry inspired by the Táin Bó Cuailgne. It was created by a team of six artists and over 40 volunteers across five neighbouring counties.

The project was helmed by Louth based artist Sophie Coyle and with a wonderful team of artists across each of the counties - Úna Curley, Frances Crowe, Catherine Gray, Claire Delabre and Ina Olohan.
