Youthful verve and enthusiasm was most certainly evident on Saturday morning as the Tubberclair U9 players hosted Millmore Gaels in the latest round of Go Games.
In perfect conditions for football, both participating teams applied themselves exceptionally well and were full of hunger and desire from the first throw in.
Millmore proved, as in the past, to be stiff opposition but this seemed to get the best out of the Tubberclair players. The goalkeepers played with great calmness under pressure and were very clever with quick kickouts and also some long deliveries when needed.
All defenders were tenacious and disciplined in their tackling and excellent at launching attacks when in possession, while the midfielders won loads of ball and showed very well for kickouts, linking up the play and delivering quality ball to the impressive forward line, all of whom showed great determination to win possession and take their scores with great style.
Overall, this was a great outing for this progressing U9 group with future Go Games to come.
