Grant Thornton launches Irish Business Voice Programme 2022

Grant Thornton Ireland has launched the Irish Business Voice Programme 2022 with the support of business and industry groups across the country, building on the success of the inaugural programme in 2021, and aiming to equip Irish businesses with the supports and advice they need to continue growth into the future.

The Irish Business Voice Programme was developed to gather insights from businesses on those areas of greatest concern, with businesses then invited to attend a series of targeted workshops and events which identify solutions and pathways to sustainable growth.

Amid the challenges of inflation, the rising cost of living and supply chain shortages, it is more important than ever that Irish businesses have their voices heard. With the support of industry and business groups including local Chambers of Commerce, Grant Thornton Ireland has launched a short survey that will capture barriers to growth, current business issues and identify solutions across sectors and industries.

The 2021 Irish Business Voice Programme revealed Irish businesses were most concerned about digital transformation and business process inefficiencies, access to a skilled workforce, and challenges to progressing their sustainability ambitions. With a rapidly changing business landscape and significant uncertainty within the economy at present, the 2022 programme is an important tool to identify a path forward.

“Grant Thornton Ireland is aware of the crucial role local Irish businesses play within the wider economy, which is why we are delighted to announce that for the second year running the Irish Business Voice Programme will work to uncover the unmet needs of Irish businesses.

‘We aim to arm Irish businesses with the tools to help them navigate the issues of the day, including inflation, access to funding and supply chain delays, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge to work through the current economic uncertainty and return to a new era of sustained growth and success," Grant Thornton Partner in Financial Services Advisory, Aengus Burns, said.

Businesses across Ireland can participate in the Business Voice Programme survey which is currently live online here. The survey will remain open throughout June.

Grant Thornton invites local businesses across Ireland to take part in the survey.
