Open Week at Athlone Golf Club tees off this weekend on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29, with a ladies and gents 18 hole singles stableford competition kindly sponsored by Planalife.
A ladies open day takes place on Monday, May 30, an 18 holes single stableford competition sponsored by Sheffield Jewellers.
Ladies and gents 18 holes singles stableford competitions will grace the fairways on Tuesday, May 31 and Wednesday, June 1 (sponsored by Mellotte O’Carroll Solicitors ), on Thursday, June 2 (sponsored by Sidero ), on Friday, June 3 (sponsored by Ganly’s Hardware ) and on Saturday, June 4 (sponsored by Kevin Greally, Athlone GC Club Professional ).
Meanwhile, Sunday, June 5, will see a gents 18 holes single stableford competition sponsored by Walker & Hunt and a ladies 18 holes single stableford competition sponsored by McGorisks Pharmacy.
Concluding Open Week proceedings, there will be a four player team scramble competition on Monday, June 6.
