Athlone Towncentre celebrates patron saint with wealth of free entertainment

On St Patrick’s Day, Athlone Towncentre will be open from 12–6pm with a free arts and crafts workshop for children from 1-4pm together with music and meet and greets with their friendly, larger than life leprechaun who will be roaming the mall during the afternoon.

As part of the Athlone Croí na hEireann festival, which takes place from March 16-20 inclusive, Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre will play host to a mini Irish market featuring a variety of talented local suppliers. The market stalls will be operating daily throughout the festival from 12-6pm and will be located on the first floor opposite Eason.

Here’s a flavour of the local suppliers available at the Croí na hEireann Festival Market:

The Athlone Croí na hÉireann Festival parade will take place o n Sunday, March 20 at 2pm, starting on Magazine Road and there will be more musical entertainment and kids activities in Athlone Towncentre to mark the event from 1-4pm.
