The village of Glasson and the surrounding wider Midlands region is in mourning following the recent death of Moira Grogan.
A pillar of the local Glasson community, Moira died peacefully on Saturday last at home surrounded by her loving and adoring family, the esteem in which she was held reflected by the large numbers which were in attendance at her requiem mass.
Moira is sadly missed by her loving daughters Miriam and Olivia, son Gerard, sister Bernie Grogan, daughters-in-law Hazel and Kirsten, grandchildren Elizabeth and Kate, nephews, nieces, in-laws, relatives, neighbour and many friends.
Moira was buried on Monday morning following requiem mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tubberclair.
The management and staff of the Athlone Advertiser would like to express their sympathies to the Grogan family at this time.
