Prominent local landscape artist, Anna Boles, has raised €2235 for the South Westmeath Hospice from the sales of her 2022 calendar.
A personal annual fundraising initiative, Anna donates 25 percent from the sales of her popular calendars towards a local charity with the South Westmeath Hospice being a worthy beneficiary this year.
Speaking following the cheque presentation, Anna commended all those who purchased a 2022 calendar and helped contribute to such a worthy cause.
“For me I am lucky as the painting is the easy part. The real praise goes to those who purchased the calendar and to those local businesses who sponsored the calendar - 100 percent of all sponsorship went directly to the South Westmeath Hospice.
“I also wish to thank all the local businesses who stock and sell the calendars on my behalf on an annual basis for they are the main reason such a fundraising amount has been realised.
“It is such a privilege for me that others can benefit from my love of painting and for that I am forever grateful,” Anna enthused.
This is the fifth occasion on which Anna has published her landscape calendars for charitable purposes in the process raising €7,785 for local charities.
