Athlone Musical Society has postponed its forthcoming production of ‘All Shook Up’ which was due to take place in early March.
An annual highlight on the annual social calendar, Athlone Musical Society have not returned to the Dean Crowe Theatre stage since its 2020 production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ for which it achieved numerous accolades.
In anticipation of this year’s production which Athlone Musical Society previously performed in 2012, singing rehearsals commenced in October but the committee confirmed on Monday of this week that ‘All Shook Up’ would not be proceeding as planned in March.
‘Unfortunately, we have made the decision to postpone our production of ‘All Shook Up’.
‘We feel it is the best thing to do to keep our cast, production team, crew and audiences safe.
‘We are discussing future dates at the moment and will update you soon.
‘We’ll be rockin’ and rollin’ on that stage soon and it will be worth the wait,’ the Society facebook page post stated
