Seery’s Cash and Carry Winter League
We have now had cards returned from 116 players as Cathal O’Rourke enters the fray. Darren Rosney still leads the way on 163pts, but Liam Lynam and Mick Young are now joint second on 146pts with Micheal Fox a point further back in fourth and Jimmy Dolan is fifth on 143pts. In 61st place just outside the qualifying places is Eoin Ronaldson on 89pts closely followed by Noel Mulligan on 88pts. The lowest with five rounds so far complete is still Trevor Hill on 108pts. The updated table is on the website.
Cards/Handicaps
With the WHS changes causing a little confusion please remember for the whole winter we will be using the yellow tees and you must use your correct handicap. We have now set up the computer and label printer so please enter your number on the computer to get a label with the correct handicap.
You do not have to enter your 13 hole scores on the computer afterwards. Be sure to mark separate cards for 13 hole Christmas Hamper & Winter League and remember you should not fill in your own card. Always swap.
Course Care
With the course softening up it is more important than ever that we all take responsibility for repairing pitch marks and divots. Every golfer should have a repairer with them and we provide bags of seed / sand mix at the first tee box. There really is no excuse for you not to take one.
Car Park Painting Fundraiser
If you don’t fancy walking from the bottom of the car park for 2022 why not enter the golf club’s fundraising raffle. There will be two spaces reserved for the winners (beside the trustee spots ) for the entirety of next year. All funds raised will go towards properly marking out the full car park. Tickets are still available in the shop @ €5 each or 3 for €10.
