Ballinahown Community Development Association will host its first ever Christmas market on Tuesday, December 21.
The community carpark will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the occasion, which will also celebrate the winter solstice. The market will run from 6pm until 8pm.
The outdoor event promises something for all ages, with a range of local businesses taking part and plenty of last minute gifts available, including wreaths and decorations, local crafts and artwork as well as baked goods.
There will be plenty of food, hot and cold, to choose from on the evening too so make sure to come hungry! You can even pick up a Ballinahown Christmas mug and enjoy a hot drink while listening to Christmas carols.
The market will include a kids zone with Christmas activity and Santa himself will be making an appearance. Be sure to come in your festive best as there will be a Christmas jumper competition.
A remembrance ceremony to remember all those who passed away during the Covid-19 pandemic will be held on the evening. The ceremony will see candles placed into the fountain, allowing families to remember loved ones who passed away during this difficult time.
Parking will be available in the church grounds and adjacent to the school so be sure to park safely.
Ballinahown Community Development would like to thank Westmeath County Council for its support of the market. Come along and kick off the festive season in Ballinahown on Tuesday, December 21, from 6pm until 8pm.
