The Midlands Simon Community and the Order of Malta will benefit from the annual Athlone Rotary Club’s ‘Tree of Remembrance’ fundraising initiative.
In acknowledgement of the worthy fundraising initiative, Westmeath County Council Cathaoirleacg, Cllr Frankie Keena, encouraged members of the local public to give of their support by purchasing a ribbon in memory of a loved one and place it on the remembrance tree in the heart of the civic square.
“This is a marvellous fundraising initiative and I wish to express my gratitude to the Athlone Rotary Club for their ongoing support of local charities,” Cllr Keena asserted.
