The Wednesday golfers celebrated their Christmas dinner under Covid-19 guidelines in the surrounds of the clubhouse with a beautiful meal served by Piotr and his staff.
There was also a special birthday cake and a rousing chorus of ‘Happy Birthday’ for Michael Tallon who celebrated a very significant birthday and is still swinging the club sweetly.
Elsewhere, it has been a very quiet week on the golf course. Storm Barra saw the course closed on Tuesday and Wednesday with thankfully no major damage occurring.
The turkey competitions are continuing until Christmas, while the Winter League is progressing well with some players nearly having their rounds completed, the latest team standings being posted on the notice board.
