Galway Auction Rooms will host a magnificent two day auction this forthcoming weekend.
The sale, billed as ‘The Executors Sale’ is comprised of items from deceased Estates in Taylor’s Hill Galway, Tuam, Portuma and Athenry.
The Taylor’s Hill contents are those from the Estate of the late Martin and Anna O’Coinne, well known Galway business people over the decades.
In a real city and country mix, contents to be sold include old black bicycles, butter churns and fiddle seed spreaders, to name but a few items within the collection.
The Irish art section includes a collection of Galway Art Club paintings. A Morris Wilks painting of Connemara is the likely star lot among such works.
There is an ‘eye catching’ selection of jewellery including a stunning three stone diamond ring and in time for the Christmas season there is a stunning 18 carat white oval tanzanite and diamond ring with the tanzanite just over seven carats in weight.
There is something for all enthusiasts at this auction. Auctions are very popular at present given the opportunity to purchase that special and unique Christmas present. Also in the era of reduce, reuse and recycle, there are many pre-loved pieces looking for a new home.
Viewing takes place on Friday and Saturday at Galway Auction Rooms, The Ranch, Kilcolgan, County Galway H91 X2X3 from 11am–6pm on both days.
The auction will go live online via www.irishcountryhome.com on Sunday and Monday starting at 11am each day. (No in-house attendance is permitted on the auction day ).
