Ensure you savour a visit to Glendeer Pet Farm during this autumn season

If you are looking to entertain the children this autumn season, why not get up close and personal with nature and enjoy a visit to Glendeer Pet Farm?

You are guaranteed a fun, family day out - it really is animal interaction at its best!

Glendeer Pet Farm is conveniently located just eight kilometres west of Athlone, exit 13 off M6 and follow signs for Drum. There is entertainment for all ages with amenities for young and old, including the double obstacle course, maze and zipwire for the older children and sand barn with diggers for the smaller ones.

A visit to Glendeer Pet Farm is an interactive experience where people can feed and pet some of the animals, which include deer, pigs, llamas, alpaca, emu, goats, donkeys, sheep, monkeys and meerkats, not to mention all the baby animals such as kid goats, lambs and a calf.

You will be amazed at how friendly all of the animals are as they wander up to you looking for food. Each child will receive a bag of food to feed the animals as you make your way around the twelve acre farm. There is much open space to allow for social distancing.

Why not make a day of it and bring a picnic along to enjoy in the picnic areas?

There is also a lovely secluded fairy trail and hobbit village adjacent to the old farm yard and cottage, which is a nice relaxing walk, but make sure to keep your eyes open for fairies as they have moved in and can sometimes be seen fluttering around.
