Tomorrow (Friday, August 13 ) is the final day on which the Covid-19 pop-up test centre, open on the grounds of the former St Aloysius College in Deerpark, will operate.
A spokesperson for the HSE informed the Athlone Advertiser that there are no plans to operate the facility next week.
Meanwhile, a total of 60 persons attended the Covid-19 walk-in vaccination clinic which was operational at the Athlone IT International Sports Arena this past weekend. Those aged 16 and over were able to avail of their first vaccination dose without making a formal appointment on the HSE website.
