Creative writing to the fore as St Peter’s NS students launch ‘Revelations’

It’s official, there are now 139 newly-published authors living in Athlone!

The children in St Peter’s National School have each produced individual creative writing work in an exciting initiative with Emu Ink Schools’ Publishing Programme.

This anthology of work has culminated in the publication of the self proclaimed ‘Revelations’ - this inspiring title was chosen collectively by Ms Kilgannon’s sixth class and the beautiful cover was designed by student, Adlita Boakye.

St Peter’s NS officially launched ‘Revelations’ on Wednesday, June 16, in their school hall with special readings by various students in different classes. ‘Revelations’ is symbolic of the limitless imagination and talent of the students.

Principal, Mrs. Anne Fagan, was thrilled for her school to participate and spoke of her delight and pride to witness the students embrace themselves so wholeheartedly and enthusiastically in the creative writing process. She expressed her gratitude to the dedicated teachers who helped their students write, edit and proof-read their work for publication.

A beautifully crafted collection of stories, ‘Revelations’ is packed full of reasons to read from cover to cover. From mystery and intrigue to crime, adventure and comedy, it has something for all reading enthusiasts.

There are a limited number of copies available to purchase for €10 by contacting the school at 0861385826.
