Energia, ‘Ireland’s greenest electricity supplier’, has announced that it is partnering with Intersport Elverys to supply 100 percent green electricity to all their stores across Ireland.
“Intersport Elverys is a recognised market leader and innovator in sports retail and their retail network in the Irish market now stands at 50 stores, with a fully integrated omnichannel strategy to serve the needs that today’s consumer commands.
“As a business, Intersport Elverys is committed to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint. The company now has its own water harvester in its head office, while all carrier bags are made from 100 per cent recycled paper and are 100 per cent recyclable. Solar panels have been installed in its warehouse, and in ten of its stores,” Energie stated.
“We are truly delighted to be partnering with Energia to ensure our Irish stores are provided with renewable energy. In conjunction with our supplier brands and Intersport, we aim to be circular in every aspect of our business by 2030,” Patrick Rowland, CEO, Intersport Elverys, stated.
“We are excited to be supplying Intersport Elverys with 100% renewable energy for their locations. At Energia, we are committed to Irish communities and businesses that serve them across the island of Ireland, and Intersport Elverys is a great example of a like-minded Irish business that shares our passion for sustainability. We look forward to being part of their continued success in the future.
“Renewable energy is tailor-made for Irish businesses and Energia makes switching to clean, renewable energy easy. In a world tackling climate change, getting energy from clean sources shows customers, investors, employees, and the wider community that businesses are serious about commitments to sustainability, and decreasing their carbon footprint,” John King, commercial sales manager with Energia, commented.
