Westmeath GAA Supporters Group launch Club Iarmhí golf classic

Westmeath GAA Supporters Group, Club Iarmhí, recently launched its annual golf classic, which takes place in Mullingar Golf Club on Friday, July 9.

This year’s classic is, again, sponsored by O’Brien’s Renault, Mullingar. O’Brien’s Renault, the longest-serving Renault dealership in Ireland, has become synonymous with Westmeath GAA through its sponsorship of all county teams, from Under 17 to Senior, and Club Iarmhí and Westmeath GAA are delighted to have them on-board as golf classic sponsors.

“We are very grateful to Club Iarmhí for the outstanding work they do in garnering much-needed finance for the support of the GAA in the county. As well as being a vital fund-raiser, the golf classic is a very welcome and enjoyable social occasion in the calendar. We thank O’Brien’s Renault dealership in Mullingar for their support of the classic, and, of course, their ongoing sponsorship of all our county teams,” Westmeath GAA Chairperson, Frank Mescall, said.

“O’Brien’s Renault are proud and delighted to continue our backing of Westmeath GAA by sponsoring the Club Iarmhí golf classic. We encourage all Westmeath GAA supporters to come out on July 9th and lend their support to the classic which takes place in the superb Mullingar Golf Club,” David Mullen, O’Briens Motor Group General Manager, conti nued.

“Club Iarmhí look forward to another exciting day’s golf on July 9. We encourage all our clubs to enter a team, and by doing so, they will help with their support of Westmeath GAA. We want to give a special thanks to Paul McGann, and all the committee and staff of Mullingar Golf Club for their assistance with the Club Iarmhí golf classic,” golf classic organiser, on behalf of Club Iarmhí, Des Maguire, stated.

The Club Iarmhí golf classic takes place in Mullingar Golf Club on Friday, July 9. Entry Fee for a team of four is €400, which includes a meal at the end of the round, and a burger snack at the half-way point.

Intending participants can contact Des Maguire or any member of the Club Iarmhí committee.
