Local Fine Gael Councillor, John Dolan, has welcomed the installation of driver feedback signs in Castledaly.
“I have received numerous complaints in relation to the speed of traffic going through Castledaly village and last year I submitted a motion requesting the Council to provide speed feedback signs to help slow down traffic traveling through the village. I have also raised this issue with the Gardai.
“I am delighted to see the new signs installed and I have to commend the regular speed checks by the Gardaí also. I want to thank the Council for providing the signs and I do hope that drivers will obey the speed limit and slow down when they travel through Castledaly particularly at the GAA pitch where young children are regularly present,” Cllr Dolan concluded.
