Renault is leading the Irish and European electric vehicle market sales with 95,985 units sold year-to-date to end November 2020.
Compared to last year, this figure represents an 80 percent increase in registrations.
In Ireland, Renault is top of EV registrations, with 858 units sold year-to-date to end November 2020, an 88 per cent increase over 2019.
The third generation Renault Zoe remains the number one most sold electric passenger car in Europe. More than 84,000 Zoe models have been sold so far this year, almost double compared to 2019 (January to November YTD ).
The Zoe leads electric car sales in countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal. More than 268,000 Zoe vehicles have been sold in Europe since its launch, the French car maker says.
The Renault Kangoo Z.E. remains the best-selling electric LCV in Europe since 2010 (57,595 ). Renault says 611 Kangoo Z.E. vans were registered year-to-date to end of November 2020.
The full electric range of Renault also includes the Twizy, with more than 31,000 units sold and the Master Z.E. van offering up to 3.5 tons payload. Renault also recently introduced the Megane eVision into its electric range.
Based on the Alliance CMF-EV platform, the production car arising from Megane eVision will be Renault’s solution for an electric C-segment car.
