A perennially popular local community fundraising event on the festive calendar, the annual Garrycastle Derek Daly Memorial challenge will take place virtually on St Stephens Day due to the current Covid-19 restrictions.
It is an event which has truly embedded itself as a Christmas tradition for members and friends of the club and this year intending virtual participants are being encouraged to walk or run 5km or cycle 10km within their surrounds over a two day duration, Saturday, December 26 and Sunday, December 27.

With a participation cost of €10 for individuals or €20 per family, the club has announced that The National Learning Network will also benefit from funds raised during the two day event.
