Innovative entertainment centre a welcome boost to local social scene

Certain to prove a welcome and popular addition to the social scene upon its intended opening, the proprietor of Elevate Entertainment Centre is hopeful that Covid-19 restrictions permitting, his innovative venture will open for business in Easter 2021.

Speaking to the Athlone Advertiser, proprietor, Colm Wright, noted a positive tone as he aspires to open the business, located on the site of the former Texas Shopping Centre, in the second quarter of 2021.

“My plan to open Elevate Entertainment Centre commenced approximately two years ago when I signed a 20 year lease with the current holders of the site.

“Encompassing 100,000 square foot of space, the entertainment centre, when opened, will be an addition to the social scene within Athlone and its environs and I am certain that we will draw large numbers on a regular basis to the recreation attraction,” Colm remarked.

Upon opening, entertainment enthusiasts will have numerous attraction options from which to choose to include electric go-karting, crazy golf, axe throwing and virtual reality experiences, with additional indoor pursuits presently in the process of development.

“Thankfully, planning permission has been granted for the entertainment centre and I want to afford my appreciation to Westmeath County Council who have been very supportive of the venture to date.

The opening will result in a boost for the local employment economy with an initial plan to employ ten staff members, a figure which Colm hopes will rise to 40 personnel in due course.

“The opening of the entertainment centre will be a welcome boost to the local employment economy and I look forward to our opening in 2021,” Colm enthused.
