To celebrate Ireland’s Grand Slam victory and to thank Westmeath rugby fans for signing up to the ‘Be the Difference’ campaign, O2 is giving them the chance to get their hands on the coveted 6 Nations and Triple Crown silverware and have their photo taken.
O2’s Grand Slam trophy tour will visit the following O2 stores on Saturday May 2: The O2 store, 23 Pearse Street, Mullingar at 9.30am to 10.10am followed by a trip to the O2 store in Irishtown, Athlone from 12.50pm to 1.30pm.
During the RBS 6 Nations championship 2009, O2 gave Westmeath rugby fans the opportunity to pledge their support and ‘Be the Difference’ to the Irish rugby team for the five gruelling encounters against some of the best rugby teams in the world. Thousands of Westmeath rugby fans took part in O2’s ‘Be the Difference’ campaign, signing up by text, online, or visiting their local O2 store and having their names printed onto the players’ match jerseys and included in a special book of support that was presented to each of the players before the final clash with Wales.
Fans are invited to come along to see the RBS 6 Nations trophy and get the chance to have their photograph taken with it.
