Despite the persistent presence of COVID-19 within the community, a socially distanced South Westmeath Hospice coffee morning will take place in McNeill’s pub on Connaught Street on Thursday, September 24.
Expected to take a huge financial hit due to COVID-19 restrictions, Arlene McNeill, did not wish the month to pass with funds raised during the coffee morning afforded to such a worthy cause.
“The South Westmeath Hospice is so important to Athlone and I want to try to raise funds in a responsible way in line with the COVID-19 public health guidelines.
“We will be hosting a coffee morning in McNeills pub on Connaught Street on Thursday, September 24 from 10am to 2pm. Those who intend to attend the event can avail of a takeaway coffee but we will also have limited seating available.
“If you would like to support the McNeills pub coffee morning in aid of the South Westmeath Hospice by donating, baking or attending, you can contact Arlene on 087 908 8860 for further information,” Arlene asserted.
