Mass services to recommence at The Friary Athlone

The Friary Athlone will recommence the public Mass on Tuesday, July 21, in line with Government health and safety guidelines.

For the interim period there will be no mass on a Monday with Tuesday services at 10am and 7.30pm, Thursday services at 8am and Friday service at 10am

Mass will take place on Saturday at 10am and 7.30pm and on Sunday at 9.30am and 11am.

Those persons who are least vulnerable to COVID-19 are encouraged to attend an evening mass.

The entrance doors of church will open twenty minutes before mass and there will be a one-way system for entry and exit.

Ushers will guide mass-goers to their seats. Hand-sanitisers are available, but mass-goers are also encouraged to bring their own hand-sanitiser and tissues.

The wearing of face masks in indoor settings is strongly recommended.

The hearing of confession will take place on Tuesday from 12pm to 1pm and from 3pm to 5pm.

There will further hearing of confession on Saturday from 11am-12pm and from 6pm to 7pm (from July 25 ).
