Tubberclair GAA players, Cathal Tighe and Daniel Sammon, presented a cheque for €13,400 to South Westmeath Hospice Treasurer Chris Monahan, following the club’s hugely successful fundraiser for the local charity which took place over the May bank holiday weekend.
The South Westmeath club would like to thank all those who contributed in any way (big or small ) to making this such a memorable event, both in terms of organising same, and the fantastic generosity shown by everyone who contributed to this fantastic cause.
What this fundraiser highlighted once more is how important the GAA Club is in the community, as a mechanism of harnessing support and fundraising for vital local charities, such as the South Westmeath Hospice. The generosity of everyone shows just how important the Hospice service is.
