Moate Golf Club eagerly prepares to welcome on course playing visitors

As COVID-19 related restrictions continue to ease, an increase in the number of playing visitors to Moate Golf Club is expected from Monday, June 29.

Presently, members and one guest can grace the pristine fairways but such restriction is being removed from next week.

Speaking to the Athlone Advertiser this week, Moate GC PRO, Andy Dunne, stated that, at the current time, a number of playing restrictions remain in place

“Strict conditions for play remain in force and only members and one guest can play, until this particular restriction is eased from June 29.

“Golfers with any symptoms of COVID-19 must stay away. Physical distancing rules are to be observed at all times. You cannot play if you are not booked on the BRS, with tee times to be booked via BRS or in the club shop.

“Under no circumstances should you arrive at the club without booking in advance. All juniors must have an adult with them while on the course.

“Course rangers will be on site daily to ensure only members (and named guests ) are playing and that strict social distancing guidelines are being adhered to. Toilet facilities will be available but ensure you adhere to health and safety guidelines,” Andy asserted.
