A sense of unity in community was to the fore in Tubberclair as the local GAA club hosted a successful fundraisinf walk/run/cycle for the South Westmeath Hospice.
To date, a sum in excess of €13,000 has been realised, a figure which has exceeded all expectations and highlights the positivity that has become so evident during the COVID-19 crisis.
The importance of the South Westmeath Hospice cannot be underestimated and the club is exceptionally grateful to all who have donated to the cause.
“What it really shows us is how important the GAA Club is in the local community, as a fulcrum for positive initiatives, and involvement of everyone, especially in these challenging times,” Club PRO, Adrian Fallon, commented.
