A novel relay marathon hosted by Rosemount GAA has realised a sum of €2,700, with the funds raised being afforded to three worthy causes.
In total nine teams, each comprising six participants, completed a seven kilometre run, with each individual recording footage of their feat.
A WhatsApp group detailing the challenge proved wholly entertaining as the relay, which commenced at 8am, progressed.
A community synonymous for their united support of charitable causes, the funds raised were in excess of the aspired figure, with €1,000 donated to both Mullinage and Tullamore Regional Hospitals and €700 afforded to the 'Do It for Dan' campaign.
