Fine Gael Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe, joined Senator Gab McFadden on Tuesday morning as the General Election aspirant conducted a canvass in the heart of the town centre.
Seeking a return to Dáil Éireann, the Athlone-based Senator and the Minister for Finance met with constituents during which pertinent issues such as health, housing and the Defence Forces were broached.
Senator McFaddeb was elected to both Athlone Town Council Westmeath County Council in 2009, to Dáil Éireann in 2014 and to Seanad Éireann in 2016. She is currently Government Chief Whip in the Seanad and also the Fine Gael Seanad spokesperson for Defence.
