Third Offaly Good Vibration set to be a success as a futuristic fleadh

An Offaly Good Vibration will once again be bringing international talent to the good people of the Midlands next Thursday August 14 while also giving serious local lyricists the platform to showcase their talent to an attentive audience.

The Canal Bar at The Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre will once again be the scene for this night of sheer entertainment. Revellers from Edenderry to Coolederry are still talking about the night Alabama 3 rocked the joint. Punters will once again be treated to an unbelievable experience at a minimum cost of just €13

Offaly singer/songwriters Stephen Mooney who is on the verge of greatness and Mike Keenan Glor Tire champion 2007 will pave the way for New York's finest Ed Hamell.

Hamell On Trial (to give him his stage name ) had a run at the Edinburgh fringe 2007 that won him a handful of five star reviews and delighted audiences. He is now on a strictly limited Irish tour with his own very special brand of shock and awe.

This updated version of the show has new material and new songs but at its core, once again, lies Hamell's unique and acclaimed mix of angry, political music and stand-up comedy.

Take a sideways glance at contemporary America through Ed Hamell's experiences of pizza delivery, drug addiction. and fatherhood with the help of his 1937 Gibson guitar. The show delves into Hamell's life, from falling in love and growing into a (semi ) responsible adult and parent with his wife, to recollections of the bizarre jobs he held down before his performing career took off and tales of drug-fuelled mayhem from his youth.
