The gym at AIT Sport has announced details for two Pilates courses starting on Tuesday, January 14, with their highly qualified and experienced Pilates instructor.
Pilates is a great for anyone who wants to improve their posture, core strength, mobility and flexibility. Pilates encourages correct breathing which helps to relax your mind, relieve stress and tension. It teaches you to concentrate, block out all other thoughts and focus fully on each movement bringing mind and body together.
“Pilates is great for anyone returning to exercise, recovering from injury or looking to complement their training programme. There are so many benefits to the body and mind from exercise, and Pilates is a gently way to begin,” Fiona Glynn, Pilates Instructor, AIT Sport, explained.
“One of the best things about Pilates is that it suits a wide range of people. It is great for those who want to develop their core strength and improve their flexibility. Pilates helps to reshape the body so that it becomes longer, stronger and leaner,” Fiona remarked.
The Pilates courses will run on Tuesday lunchtime at 1.15pm for beginners and 5.15pm for intermediate participants. Classes cost €50 for a six week programme for AIT Sport gym members and €75 for non-members.
