In recognition of its 75th anniversary, the Kiltoom Pioneer Association Centre (PTAA ) celebrated the occasion with a special mass and presentation of pins in the Church of the Risen Christ.
The well attended mass was celebrated by Parish Priest, Fr. Michael McManus, who is also the spiritual director of the Kiltoom Pioneer Association Centre.
The centre, which held its inaugural meeting in November 1944, has received successive Gradam awards from the National Executive of the PTAA in recognition of its continuous high standards of excellence.
Following mass, the presentation of pins and certificates to members marking 10, 25, 50, 60 and 70 years association with the centre took place with MC, Sean Heneghan hosting the formal presentation.
Both Philomena Casey and Francis Henehan were afforded due recognition for their association with the Centre as they were presented with the Fr. Cullen medal in acknowledgement of their lifelong dedication.
