Exciting festive fare at the Prince of Wales Hotel

The Prince of Wales Hotel, Church Street would like to wish a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the people of Athlone.

The hotel and bar, situated conveniently beside Athlone’s town centre, accredits success throughout the past year to the continued support of loyal customers in the area.

It’s been a busy year at The Prince. There has been a variety of exciting events such as the recent Mini Christmas Market, which was a huge success, displaying high quality works of local traders and craftspeople from around the midlands. This was a tremendous day on the 2019 calendar, raising awareness of quality local produce and artistry.

The celebrations are just getting in full swing as live music is plentiful throughout the festive period. You can expect to see some great live performances courtesy of Blessed, Rodes, Thunderslap, Buckeye and much more. Dollar Daly will be raising the roof as The Prince rings in 2020 in style on New Years Eve.

As always, you can catch an impressive fixture list of sport on St Stephens Day at The Prince. The bill is highlighted with a top of the table clash between Leicester and title favourites Liverpool. There is plenty more fantastic sport which you can catch live in The Prince Bar throughout Christmas.

Prince of Wales Hotel accommodation is closed from Sunday, December 22 until Friday, December 27, at 3pm. The Prince of Wales Bar and Kitchen is closed from 6pm on Christmas Eve and will re-open on Thursday, December 26, at 6pm. Normal food service will resume from 9am on Friday, December 27.
