Taughmaconnell Drama Group returns after fifty years

Taughmaconnell Drama Groupare back in tread the boards mode following a fifty year absence from the local arts.

Rehearsals commenced for the production of ‘The Country Boy’ over the past number of months and the dedicated cast are now production prepared for three live performances in Taughmaconnell Community Centre from Friday, November 1 to Sunday, November 3.

Directed by Liam Curley, this production has been a labour of love for all involved and the novice cast are now ready to bring John Murphy’s play to life. Come along and see how this tale of the heartache of emigration and the demise of rural Ireland in the 1950s is explored through the lens of the Maher family.

Doors open at 7.30pm with curtain up at 8.30pm. Admission to this local production is €10.
