Moate native, Kathleen Clavin, had a television appearance to remember on Saturday night as she won a total of €62,000 on the Winning Streak game show.
Kathleen, who is now resident in Tullamore, had already won an impressive €40,000 in cash during the popular show prior to being afforded the opportunity to spin the iconic Winning Streak Grand Prize Wheel, on which she won another €22,000, bringing her total winnings to €62,000.
On the previous Saturday night Kathleen found out she was going to be on the game show while at work, the delivery driver believing the news to be a hoax. However, as the congratulatory calls became a more regular occurrence, the realisation of a Winning Streak television appearance soon began to set in.
Kathleen has been overwhelmed with the good wishes from all her friends and neighbours in Moate and Tullamore since spinning the wheel, noting the occasion to be a dream come true.
There was a good mix supporters who came from both towns to cheer her on on Saturday including her mum Betty, her brother Michael, her sister Eileeen and her niece, Shannon.
With her winnings from the show Kathleen intends to soak up some Vitamin D, citing Lanzarote as her preferred holiday destination.
