Three childrens' theatre events of note will perform on the Tuar Ard Arts Centre stage as October draws to a conclusion.
Magician Joe Daly will perform his Children’s Magic and Illusion Show on Sunday, October 20, at 3pm. Direct from his weekday magic show 'abraKIDabra' on RTE?jr, Joe performs his children’s comedy magic and illusion show, which is suitable for children from age 4-12.
Joe will bring them on a rollercoaster ride of magic, illusion, comedy and fun. Joe’s show completely reinvents children’s entertainment, so much so that the adults will enjoy it as much as the kids! Prepare yourself to be spellbound one minute and roaring laughing the next. Tables will fly, newspapers torn up and restored, cola poured over a volunteers head and that's just for starters!
On Wednesday, October 30, CreateSchool will bring their Halloween Brick Flicks Stop Motion Workshop to Tuar Ard. Children can learn to make Lego figures come to life with stop motion animation - creating a set, developing a landscape and a storyboard and planning, filming, and producing their own stop motion movie masterpiece. They will learn how to make a spooky set, create a zombie invasion and then have their favourite Lego character save the day!
Finally, on Thursday October 31, storyteller Seosamh Ó Maolalaí will be at Tuar Ard for Scary Halloween Storytelling! Seosamh is a storyteller who tells all kinds of stories, but at Halloween he tells scary stories, really, really scary stories. So children should bring their mammy or daddy, big brother or sister or someone who can mind them! But Seosamh likes a laugh too so there’s no need to be too afraid!
Tickets for all of the children’s events can be booked on the Tuar Ard website, tuarard.ie, or by ringing the Box Office on 090 6482042 from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
