Bank Holiday barbecue at the Athlone Springs Hotel

Athlone Springs Hotel is coming up to its first birthday under the So Hotel Group led by the McDonagh family. Since 2018 Athlone Springs Hotel has seen a flurry of changes from its refurbished gym to a new state of the art conference centre.

The team is led by general manager, Lukas Kodl whose core ethos for the hotel rotates around that of customer service, making sure that everyone is warmly welcomed into the Athlone Springs Hotel and that each experience for a customer is better than their last, whether they are old or new.

The most recent upgrade is to the bar and lobby area which have been upgraded to express modern, vibrant, purple tones with soft wooden floors with a brighter and lighter area that creates a great atmosphere and is complemented with divider screens in the lobby area, it is the perfect space for those much needed catch ups with two new snug areas either side of the new sleek linear white marble bar which are simply superb.

The new lobby area is the perfect location for intimate chats with colleagues, friends, or family while catching a coffee and some of the scrumptious homemade warm scones or why not try afternoon tea. It is served in the lobby area, either a lovely pot of tea or coffee, or upgrade and really spoil yourself and upgrade to a glass of Prosecco or a house mocktail.

Athlone Springs Hotel is a relaxing and cosy area for a few drinks with friends, with live music every Saturday night commencing at 9.30pm to create the perfect atmosphere for a night out. Each Sunday matches are televised on new flat screen TVs with carvery being served in the restaurant. With the new evening and day bar menu which commenced in January, there is plenty to choose from for all, from light bites with food platters if in a group and daily roast specials, to a selection of homemade sandwiches and mouth-watering finger licking desserts like the famous brownies.

Children’s menus are complemented with a monthly colouring competition with a new winner announced each month. The team has revised its children’s menus this year to offer little ones nutritional and wholesome choices while also tasty. Staff know how hard it can be to get some little ones to eat there are also a few treats included within the menu to cater for all children’s needs.

On the Bank Holiday Sunday August 4 commencing at 4pm, Athlone Springs Hotel is opening its doors for a barbecue, with everyone welcome. All types of barbecue food will be served from chicken skewers, beef burgers, hot dogs to options for vegetarians and other dietary requirements if required.

With music and drinks flowing, what a better way to spend the Bank Holiday weekend than with a barbecue, helping Athlone Springs Hotel celebrate its first birthday in style.
