Brosna Art Group is holding its second annual exhibition this Easter weekend in the Annebrook House Hotel, Mullingar. The group’s members have painted together since 2003. The group is made up of 30 local artists who paint in various media.
The exhibition will be formally opened on Easter Saturday, April 11 by Michael Harding, playwright, performer, and columnist with The Irish Times. The exhibition will be open to the public on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, April 12 and 13 from 12-6pm daily, and everyone is invited to come in and view the paintings. Paintings on display will include local scenes in oils, acrylics, and watercolours.
Some of the artists in Brosna Art Group are currently undertaking a FETAC art course in conjunction with Westmeath VEC while one of the artists, Anne McGowans has a painting currently on display in Dublin Civic Offices, Wood Quay as part of ‘An Posts C Both Sides exhibition’ which will be also touring nationwide.
The Brosna Art Group would like to thank the Annebrook House Hotel for their kind assistance in staging the exhibition. A raffle will be held over the weekend with the proceeds being donated to the Westmeath Branch of Muscular Dystrophy Ireland.
So if you are free over Easter weekend, why not pop in? Brosna Art Group would be delighted to see you!
