The people at Citroen in Ireland say they have always been committed to greener motoring as one of the market leaders in diesel technology and the reduction of CO2 emissions. And now, for a limited time only, Citroen say that they are: "introducing their Eco Trade-in Cashback deal meaning major savings on all of their greenest models to encourage buyers to trade-up to a newer, greener, more fuel efficient Citroën model".
In many areas of our daily lives taking the Green route is often the more expensive option, but Citroen boasts that you can now do your part to reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption while also saving yourself significant amounts of money. And it's better for the planet, better for your pocket and it’s a win-win situation. Sounds promising.
In upgrading to a greener car, Citroen claim that while many makers now offer greener vehicles, they have long been at the forefront when it comes to reducing environmental impact. They offer five models in the lowest VRT tax band from the C1 to the C4, all qualifying for just ?104 road tax – a total, Citroen says is unbeaten by any other brand.
Citroen says that it offer nine models, more than any other brand in Ireland, in the two lowest VRT tax bands including the C4 Picasso 7 Seat MPV and C5 executive saloon. And it boldly claims that switching from your petrol powered family car to a Citroën HDi diesel could cut over ?1300 from your annual motoring costs
Citroen says that it is the European market leader in the production of vehicles producing less than 110g/km of CO2. Citroen’s advanced HDi diesel engines reduce not only emissions but also fuel consumption meaning you can travel over a claimed 1,600 km on a single tank of fuel, which equates to an unbelievable 76mpg, on the extra-urban cycle.
Citroen tells us that their 'Eco Trade-In' is available on all models across the award-winning Citroën car range. The Semperit Irish Car of the Year 2009, the Citroen C5 is available from just €23,995. And the What Car? MPV of the Year 3-years-running, the Citroën C4 Picasso MPV is on sale from €22,625.
And Citroen point out that their good news doesn’t just apply to Citroen’s car range, the award-winning Citroen van range is also available with significant discounts in a bid to replace older vans on Irish roads with discounts of between €2,000 and €6,000 also available.
Citroen say that their 'Eco Trade-in' deals will only last until the end of the month.
