With family entertainment to the fore, the annual Athlone Agri-Show, an exhibition of farming pride, is certain to attract large crowds on Sunday, June 23, to its location of Bealin, with a formal launch of this year’s event taking place tonight, Thursday, June 13, in The Bounty at 8pm, to which all are welcome to attend.
With a plethora of childrens’ attractions on offer - featuring bouncy castles, bungee jumping, face painting, puppet shows, magic shows and a vortex tunnel, parents need have no worry regarding their little ones entertainment options on the day!
Commencing at 10am, Athlone Agri-Show continues to provide a vast range of competitions, including the All Ireland cattle championship. There will also be horse, pony and sheep championship classes on the day, as well as sheepdog trials demonstrations.
Boasting a Midlands food village, trade stands will be dotted throughout the venue with local artisans displaying both local and international cuisine. Keeping with the culinary theme and in conjunction with the Irish Shows Association, the Agri Show will feature a Homecook of the Year qualifier.
With live music from Celtic Blondes and bar facilities to quench the thirst on what will hopefully be a warm summers day, the Agri Show is certainly a ‘must visit’ for those seeking family value entertainment.
Admission on the day is €10 with children being admitted free.
