Free guide to assist with caring for the elderly in the homestead

Older people in Athlone and its environs, and those who care for them, can plan for successful ageing by accessing the latest key information in the free Home Instead Senior Citizen and Family Carer Guidebook.

The popular annual publication from Ireland’s largest provider of non-medical home care services, Home Instead Senior Care, is the most comprehensive guide to ageing in Ireland.

“The Senior Citizen and Family Carer Guidebook is available free of charge at a range of community locations and also as a digital download,” Jonathan Acton, local spokesperson for Home Instead, remarked.

It is a comprehensive resource on ageing in Ireland and the inspiration for this year’s edition is planning for successful ageing.

“The guidebook contains information on allowances and entitlements, care options, community services, home and lifestyle, nutrition, health and wellbeing and helps us to truly honour our mission, which is to enhance the lives of older people and their families,” Jonathan added.

Home Instead’s Senior Citizen Guidebook shares experience and expertise built up from the company’s fourteen years of operation in Ireland and contains valuable contributions from a range of experts and organisations who have Ireland’s older people at heart.

It is available in a range of places in the local community, such as libraries, post offices, hospitals and clinics. Copies can be ordered by phoning 1890 989 755, and digital downloads are available at HomeInstead.ie/Guidebook2019 For more information on Home Instead Senior Care in Ireland, visit www.homeinstead.ie
