NISO presentation of certificates to successful Athlone based graduates

A number of Athlone based people successfully completed the NISO Health and Safety Certificate Course in Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT ) and were awarded certification at a presentation held in the Prince of Wales Hotel.

Those successful students were Kate Moore, (AIT student and Collinstown, Mullingar ), Eamon Duffy (Rosemount and Government Buildings, Athlone ), Oliver Kelly (Streamstown, Mullingar and ESB, Garrycastle ), Aaron Chapola (Direct Provision Centre, Athlone ), James Mahon (Moyvore, Mullingar and Ashfield Safety, Monksland ), Mark Maloney (Clonfanlough, Ballinahown ), Gerard Geraghty (Monksland ), Shannen Geraghty (Monksland and Hodson Bay Hotel ), Pauline O’Connell (Beechville and Department of Agriculture Regional Veterinary Lab, Coosan ) and Louise Allen ( KCI, Medical Garrycastle ).

Each participant received their cert from Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran and Mr. Harry Gavin, President of NISO. John Flanagan (Midland NISO Branch Chairperson ) oversaw the presentation along with Dr. Nuala Commins Head of Department, AIT.

The course was hosted by AIT from September and December 2018 with, in total, 22 participants successfully completing the course. The course will commence again in the autumn, with a start date of Monday, September 23 in AIT.

A significant number of the participants will now advance into the part-time Level 7 Degree in EHS Management (Safety and Environmental Officers ).
