Induction day for students on AIT’s Springboard funded courses

Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT ) is offering free and part-funded places on programmes commencing in Athlone, Ballinasloe, and Tullamore, in early 2019.

All programmes will start with a one day induction for students on Saturday, January 26, in AIT, with the exception of the Masters in Data Analytics programme’s induction day, scheduled for this Saturday, January 12.

The induction day is scheduled from 9am to 4pm and is mandatory for all students enrolling on the programmes. During the induction day the students will get an opportunity to meet fellow students and programme lecturers, to get an introduction to the programme and to complete student administrative tasks.

The programmes are available to those currently in employment (irrespective of level ), to those on social welfare or for those who are considering returning to employment after a number of years.

Programmes on offer

Certificate in Operations, Quality and Lean Management (NFQ Level 6, 60 Credits ), to be delivered in Athlone, Tullamore and Ballinasloe on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 10pm and a number of Saturdays.

Certificate in Robotics and Automation (NFQ Level 6, 40 Credits ), to be delivered online on Monday evenings and in class in AIT on Fridays.

Certificate in Construction Management (NFQ Level 8, 40 credits ), to be delivered online on Monday evenings and in class in AIT every second Friday.

Higher Diploma in Data Analytics (NFQ Level 8, 90 credits ), to be delivered online on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with a number of in class tutorials in AIT.

Master in Science in Data Analytics (NFQ Level 9, 90 credits ), to be delivered online on Monday and Wednesday evenings, with a number of in class tutorials in AIT.

This is a unique opportunity to gain ‘free’ or part funded training on these nationally accredited part-time evening programmes. While places are limited, AIT will make every effort to ensure all those who apply are facilitated.
