Championing the issue of the redevelopment, rejuvenation and enhancement of the west side of Athlone, to which she is native, Senator Gabrielle McFadden is fervently in support of the news which was announced this week.
A long time campaigner for the redevelopment of the west side of the town which has become neglected in recent times, Senator McFadden has previously spent time with Minister Damien English and Minister Eoghan Murphy meeting with the business people and locals of Connaught Street, solely with the aim of garnering Government support and obtaining the relevant funding to breathe new life into this particular area.
